Yup. I’ve definitely come to the conclusion that squad management is Arteta’s kryptonite…also interestingly we looked more unbalanced and Brighton started to attack when Gyorkeres came off. There’s a big argument that despite fluffing his lines in front of goal his sheer combativeness occupies their defence. What’s your perspective?

I agree with you that there's a feeling that defenders just don't have to work as hard when Gyokeres is out. Even though he rarely wins duels, defenders still need to stay on their toes to make sure he doesn't. They are also able to push the defensive line higher and make team more compact, because Jesus is not really the man to put pressure on centre backs.

One of the other aspects is that generally in the last 20 minutes of the game, approximately when the time Gyokeres gets subbed, our team generally retreats back to defend the lead, so it might be a coinciding factor.

That said, Brighton started pushing us and scored a goal while Gyokeres was still on the pitch.
